How to use ReceiptDuel
ReceiptDuel is a quick browser game about everyday price intuition. You choose a pack, read the basket, enter the total you think would print on the receipt, and then compare your guess with the actual number.
How to play a round
- Pick one of the three packs: Grocery Rush, Café Panic, or Corner Shop Night.
- Read the basket carefully. You see the items, quantities, and a small clue about context or quality, but no prices yet.
- Type your estimate in euro and lock the guess.
- After submission, ReceiptDuel reveals the round total, your miss amount, the score, and the per-item prices.
- Move to the next round and try to protect your streak.
What the verdicts mean
- Perfect read: within 3% of the actual total.
- Sharp read: within 8% of the actual total.
- Still alive: within 16% of the actual total.
- Receipt shock: more than 16% away.
What the recap box is for
The recap summarizes your score, your closest round, your biggest miss, and your overall session read. It is designed to be copied into a chat, stream notes, or a casual challenge to someone else.
What ReceiptDuel does not try to be
This is not a live market-price tracker, not a tax simulator, and not a perfect representation of every shop in every city. It is a handcrafted estimation game built around familiar modern purchase patterns.
