How LostLoop chooses a response lane

LostLoop is not trying to predict the exact location of a missing pet. It uses broad reunion logic to choose the most useful first coordination posture for the facts you entered.

The three lanes

  • Home-circle sweep: best when a cat or shy pet likely stayed close and the missing window is still early.
  • Neighbourhood sweep: best when the search should widen but the case is not yet screaming for a large-area alert.
  • Wide-alert escalation: used when movement risk, elapsed time, or health urgency means the net should widen quickly.

Main factors

  • Pet type and likely behaviour
  • How long the pet has been missing
  • Whether the area contains roads, rail, or water hazards
  • Whether the pet may need urgent care
  • Whether there are any credible sightings already changing the likely zone

What LostLoop does not do

LostLoop does not certify safety, guarantee the right search radius, or replace local rescue knowledge. Its job is to reduce delay and keep the first response coordinated while real-world judgement continues.
