How to use LostLoop
LostLoop is designed for the messy first search window after a dog or cat goes missing. It does not track the pet for you; it helps you package the facts once so every poster, call, and helper starts from the same brief.
Best way to use it
- Enter the last-seen facts carefully before you start forwarding messages everywhere.
- Use the response lane first. That tells you whether to stay tight to home, sweep the neighbourhood, or widen the alert net faster.
- Paste the poster text into your print design, local lost-pet groups, neighbourhood chats, and vet calls.
- Keep the sighting log updated so helpers stop searching stale streets.
Good input habits
- Use a contact number that will actually be answered.
- Describe features someone can verify fast from a doorway or car.
- If the pet needs medication or may be injured, choose the higher urgency level.
- If a road, rail line, or water hazard is nearby, mark that risk even if the last sighting felt calm.
Scope limits
LostLoop is a coordination aid for ordinary lost-dog and lost-cat cases. It is not a replacement for microchip-database reporting, veterinary advice, police reports, or rescue-centre intake systems.
